Privacy Policy
We are 0x2 Devs, two independent software developers based in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy covers all applications we publish, including Orbit Tasks and Matchling. We collect only what we need, use it only as described below, and never sell it.
1. What we collect
When you create an account or use our apps, we may collect:
- Name — your display name as entered in the app.
- Email address — used to identify your account and to communicate with you.
- Phone number — only if you choose to provide it (e.g. for notifications or account recovery).
- App content — data you create within the app (e.g. tasks, preferences, activity) in order to provide the service.
- Device token — for delivering push notifications you have opted into. No other device identifiers are stored.
- Subscription status — purchase and subscription records managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store payment card details.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide and maintain the features of our apps.
- To send push notifications and reminders you have opted into.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To send you updates and promotional material about our own apps. You may opt out at any time by contacting us.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever.
We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted infrastructure partners (e.g. Microsoft Azure for hosting, Apple and Google for push notifications and payments) who process data solely on our behalf under strict terms.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data would transfer to the successor subject to the same privacy commitments.
4. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems. Billing and subscription records may be retained separately for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
5. Security
We protect your data using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our infrastructure. No system is completely immune to risk, but we take reasonable and industry-standard steps to keep your information safe.
6. Children's privacy
Our apps are intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data (see section 8).
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

8. Account & data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. You can also submit a request using the form below — include your name, the email on your account, and which app you want removed from (or leave it blank to remove from all of our apps). We will confirm by email once processed.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our apps after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
